IT’S TIME TO SHOOT THE
BULL!!!

Fall is an exciting time of the year at Bayley Hill. We have
just
finished the artificial insemination of our Elk herd and the
Bulls
are in full rut. Fred and Kathleen have instructed our
Herdsman and
Farm Manager, Nick Richardson to have ALL of our pedigreed
Elk Cows
artificially bred to the best bulls in North America. Nick
has
brought in a team of technicians from New Zealand to help
him with this program. This is the fourth year that the
Bayleys have
made the financial sacrifice to insure that the farm will be
putting
the biggest and best bulls in the country on the ground in
the near
future. In the meantime, we sure could use your help. We
would like
to harvest 25 two year old bulls and 35 hybrid cows that are
not
needed in our program. These are great animals that we are
offering
at very good prices on a first come basis with present
customers
given the first priority.
HYBRID ELK COWS: These animals were the backbone of
our meat
operation. They are 3/4 Elk and have a much higher meat to
bone
ratio than a full Elk. They weigh between 380 to 450 lbs.
and will
yield about two hundred pounds of meat, just about what a
cow elk
yields. They also have gorgeous dark capes that would be
well worth
tanning. We are offering these cows at $750.00
THE YOUNG BULLS: Have three-by to six-by racks with a
body
weight of over 400 pounds. At two years of age their meat
will be
tender, making these animals a great choice for the
sportsman
looking for a good trophy and great eating at a bargain
price. These
feisty bulls are in full rut right now and will come to a
call until
mid-November. They would be a real challenge for a bow
hunter and
would make a great mount for anyone. The price for one of
these Big
Bad Boys is $2500.00
